Grant Deadlines and Information

The Moline Foundation:  2018 Deadline for receipt of grant proposals from nonprofit organizations:



  • Friday, April 13, 2018
  • Friday, September 28, 2018

Proposals must be received in our office by 4:00 p.m. on these dates.  A postmark no later than this date is also acceptable.

The Moline Foundation provides grants in the following designated charitable categories:

  • Education
  • Health Care
  • Social Services
  • Arts and Humanities
  • Workforce and Economic Development
            Any non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, including those who have never received Moline Foundation funding in the past, is welcome to apply.
 
            An application should consist of one copy of a written request stating the name and address of the organization, its mission, names and addresses of Board members, income and expense statement, balance sheet, and the specific purpose for which any money received would be used including a project budget.  The name, telephone number, and email of a contact person must also be included.  The requested materials should be mailed according to the above deadline.  If you need further information, please call the Moline Foundation at (309) 736-3800 or visit the website at www.molinefoundation.org.
            The Moline Foundation offices are located in the Riverstation building, 1601 River Drive, Suite 210, Moline, Illinois, 61265
             The Moline Foundation, founded in 1953, is a community foundation which provides grants to health, human services, education, workforce development, the arts and other charitable organizations which benefit the citizens of Moline and the surrounding area, including the Quad Cities region in both Iowa and Illinois. Counties served by the Moline Foundation include Scott County in Iowa and Rock Island, Henry, Mercer, Warren, Henderson, and McDonough Counties in Illinois. The Moline Foundation receives and administers charitable gifts and works with citizens to achieve their goals to improve the community.

Grants are made to non-profit agencies located in the Moline Foundation service area which includes the Quad Cities region.  Occasionally, grants may also be allocated to governmental entities such as public libraries and schools.

In general, grants shall be made for capital and programmatic purposes only, not for operating expenses.

The East Moline Community Fund: The grant submission deadline for 2018 is Friday, August 31, 2018
Non-profit organizations are encouraged to apply if they serve the citizens of East Moline and the surrounding area.
            All materials necessary to receive funds are due in The Moline Foundation offices by 4:00 p.m. on the established grant deadline.
            Any non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization or governmental entity serving the citizens of East Moline, Illinois, are welcome to apply.

            The East Moline Community Fund is an affiliate fund of The Moline Foundation with offices located at the Riverstation Building, 1601 River Drive, Suite 210, Moline, Illinois, 61265.
             The East Moline Community Fund, founded in 2011, is a non-profit group created to build charitable resources dedicated to strengthen our community now and for future generations. The East Moline Community Fund also receives and administers charitable gifts and works with citizens to achieve their goals to improve the community.
